Fresh off the press – Saskatoon Home magazine

Saskatoon_Home_Magazine_001I’ve had the pleasure of working with some fantastic clients in the last few months including Span West Construction, Lexis Homes and Sarilia Country Estates. Real estate development, architecture, and design is a big interest of mine, so it’s wonderful to partner with companies who are doing great things in these industries. I’ll be posting some of the completed projects in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, I’ll share an article I wrote about VerEco Homes for Saskatoon Home magazine. Ronn and Gwen Lepage happen to be my former next-door neighbours. Last year they sold their modern Broadway town home and built a stunning, energy-efficient home at Sarilia Country Estates (more to come on Sarilia in a future post). Ronn helps people who want to build a green home, or do a retrofit. In my discussions with him and Gwen I learned how to make the right decisions on green technology – lessons that will come in handy when Josh and I start building our new home this summer.

The article is on page 36 and can be found online here.

  1. Julie, this is an informative article, even for someone like me who has built “green” from the get-go. So many articles are what I call “green building 101”. They state what has now become the obvious about how to build green. Ronn’s steps delve deeper.
    Thank you.

  2. Thanks Gail! Glad to hear you got something out of it with all your green building experience. I definitely learned a lot and I’m excited to implement some of the same green technologies in our new home.

I just caught up on your blog – looks like New Zealand was a blast! I loved the retrofitted “cabooses” you stayed in!
